    Description

Don't miss this exceeding rare 1979 Star Trek the motion picture set. THIS IS NOT THE COMMON TOPPS distributed set that was issued in the US, but indeed was exclusively distributed only in UK/IRELAND by TREBOR LTD. Also included is the equally rare wrapper. This set was not distributed with stickers and is NRMT/MINT with many gradable gems, if you desire.
Some of the key differences are:
    1) Cards have much brighter backs, unlike the very dark backs that are on the US released set.
    2) This set was not distributed with stickers
    3) The wrappers read "Manufactured in Rep. of Ireland by Topps Ireland LTD. CORK. Distributed in UK and Ireland by Trebor Ltd. Maidstone."
    4) The following cards were updated/moved or replaced entirely.
    1. Card #1 in the Trebor set is the same as Card #78 in US Set
    2. Card #11 Spock in the Trebor set was not in the US Set at all and fits in with the other character cards from 10-20
    3. Card #4 in the Trebor set is also not in the US Set at all, as card #4 in the US set was so dark you can barely tell what it was
    4. Card #46 in the Trebor set has a RED EXPLOSION versus the odd BLUE EXPLOSION that is on the US Card #46
    5. Card #52 in the Trebor set is a ship that is also not in the US set, as card #52 was another ridiculously dark card
    6. Card #55 in the Trebor set is McCoy, which is another card unique to the Trebor set
    7. Card #76 is not in the US Set
    8. Card #78 is a Klingon ship card that is also not in the US set and fits in with the surrounding ship cards #77 and #78
The US set was rushed to market and for that reason the Trebor set is much more refined, with brighter cards, and the 8 changes above that just make it a much more presentable set.
Thanks for viewing this exceedingly rare set that is a true centerpiece to any Star Trek card collection (as it was to mine for decades), and one that is near impossible to complete and is missing from almost all vintage collections. Simply irreplaceable in completeness and quality.
